A Much Needed Adjustment
I’ve been training Jiu-Jitsu officially since the spring of 1997 and while people do come and go in the art many of my peers are still going strong teaching and training the art, one of the best compliments you can get as a coach is in regards to the quality of the atmosphere, positive attitude and overall skill of the training on the mats at our Mississauga martial arts academy.
Now this could be just the standard compliment, but in the course of the last 6-8 months we’ve had friends and visitors consistently approach and compliment the atmosphere and quality training environment we’ve been able to create on the mats.
Never one for handing out belts or believer in “time served or attendance” being the sole factor on rank promotions, as a group we’ve seen some really skilled practitioners at the same belt for years..
” this is without a doubt likely the wrong academy for you if quick promotions is the goal 🙂 ”
Winter of 2019 saw a fair amount of the student base take a step up the ladder, congrats to everyone on the team who made the growth possible & remember, the goal for a real martial artist is personal development and not you vs anyone other than yourself last month + how well you grasp key concepts of the art.

All that being said big congratulations to everyone who make the 2019 year so successful
2020 has some solid upgrades on the way and im looking forward to seeing even better results on and off the mats.
thanks
