BJJ 201: The New program on the Mississauga BJJ Schedule

The BJJ 201 curriculum is our colored belts’ foundations lessons, ensuring that you guys have a good understanding of the modern approach to the most important aspects of jujitsu before building the more detailed techniques and strategies into your game.

The program training progression goes as follows

Basics – brand new know little the nothing about grappling and Brazilian jiu-jitsu concepts

BJJ 101– White belts with at least 1 stripe who have graduated the basics curriculum and are ready to build a base in the art

BJJ 201– Any colored belt and students with a solid understanding of the art working towards high ranking

Competition–  Advanced students and competitors prepping for events and operating under the point and rule systems associated

These classes are for any of the students who have graduated from the 101 curriculum and are interested in taking their training in a more serious manner.
You are able to attend these classes if you have not graduated from the 101 curriculum, but  you wouldn’t be doing yourself any favors, as the coaches are not able to modify the lesson plans to accommodate people who don’t understand the prerequisites for that class.

BJJ 201 Schedule

The sessions are currently running
Monday and Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.
and
Tuesday and Thursday at 7:00 p.m.

In the summer months, we will be running the no-gi program on Saturday afternoons at 12pm, but as the winter approaches we will be shifting back to the BJJ 201 curriculum for that time slot and offering gi classes then.

A big part of success as a practitioner in martial arts is knowing what’s coming next and also what’s expected of you at each respective step of your journey as as an extra added recourse we’ve filmed the curriculum and will be posting them in a members-only section on the website so you have access to the entire curriculum in advance and at your use for individual practice outside of class.

I’ve attached an example of one of the videos above so you get an idea. We will be filming a bit more in detail over the coming of week and putting it online for you guys shortly.

Thanks for your continued support and hard work
