it hasn’t even been a month since i posted how proud we were of the growth in the youth program when the team went out and absolutely raised the bar with a Standout performance at February’s Ascension bjj open.
Organized by professor Omar Salvosa the Ascension BJJ open is the provinces longest running jiu-jitsu competition and always a great event.
If this years event were a sign of things to come its safe to say things are looking up ina big way.
the coaches in the program ahs done such a great job in the past 8 months developing both a solid competition and self defense stream for the students that the results have really started to show.
Since the event we’ve gotten more than a few emails and messages comments how great the kids in our youth BJJ program performed..
This being my personal first time out coaching the children in an local BJJ competition I must admit I had a blast..
Just the purity of competition with everyone trying their best win or lose made for a great afternoon.. Looking forward to future events..
attached is a photo gallery of a few shots i managed to get between matches.
